It is mandatory that each contestant stay at The Queen Mary Hotel for three nights - March 8-10, 2018. Contestant cannot share a room with another contestant but she can share her room with family and friends.

The pageant has reserved a block of rooms:
No two rooms are alike! Rooms may differ from photos on the Website. The Queen Mary is a real ocean liner from the 1930's resulting in a unique hotel experience.

Each Contestant must have her own room which includes:

    Reduced Parking Fee:
* Overnight Parking - $10.00 per night per car
* Day Parking or parking to attend pageant - $8.00 per car

  • Hair dryer, Iron/Ironing board, LCD flat screen TV
  • Room Service Available: 6:30 am - 11:00 pm
  • Complimentary Baggage Storage is available.
  • Mini-fridge (available upon request for a fee)

FAMILY & FRIENDS HOTEL ROOM RATES:
Family and friends can stay at the same hotel for these rates if they book their hotel room BEFORE February 19, 2018. Call the hotel to book your rooms at 877-342-0742 and tell them you are with the Ms. America Pageant.

The Difference In The Room Rates:
The $149.00 deluxe room rates and higher room rates are authentic art deco rooms that have space and luxury with a window. The $129.00 room rate are inside cabin rooms with no window and the walls are wall paper or paint. There are a few $129.00 rooms with a window. The hotel will sell out and the sooner you book your room the better room choices you will have.

No Resort / Facility Fee:
This fee (normally $16.95) has been waived (COMPLIMENTARY!) for our contestants and guests who book their rooms with the Ms. America Pageant. Resort fee includes Internet access, fitness center, self-guided audio tour of the ship and 50% off select guided tours and attractions - including the Princess Diana Legacy tour which is normally $32.00 for adults.

Staterooms:
Single/Double rooms consist of One King or Two Twin Beds, accommodating one or two guests. Family staterooms, consisting of Two Doubles or a King and Twin Combination, will accommodate 3-4 guests. The charge for additional adults in a room is $15. per night. Children under the age of 17 may stay in their parents stateroom free of charge when no additional bedding is required.

Door Decorations:
Queen Mary is a historic ship with original art-deco wood. Contestants are not allowed to decorate their doors or inside of their rooms.

Reduced Parking Fee:
Overnight Parking - $10.00 per night per car - (Normally $22. per night.)
Day Parking or parking to attend pageant - $8.00 per car - (Normally $18.)

GETTING TO THE QUEEN MARY
Freeway Driving Directions

From Long Beach Airport - 17 Mins/11 Miles
Follow the airport exit signs to Lakewood Blvd. Take Lakewood Blvd. south towards I-405. Take the I-405 North to the I-710 South. Follow the signs for THE QUEEN MARY.
From Los Angeles International Airport - 30 Mins (depending on traffic)/22 Miles
Follow the airport exit signs to West Century Blvd. Turn right on South La Cienega Blvd., then turn left to merge onto I-405 South. Take the I-405 South, then the I-710 South. Follow the signs for THE QUEEN MARY.
From John Wayne/Orange County Airport - 39 Mins (depending on traffic)/31 Miles
Follow the airport exit signs to get onto the I-405 North then take the I-710 South. Follow the signs for THE QUEEN MARY.

Public Transportation
From Long Beach Airport:

  • Take the Long Beach Transit system Broadway/Lakewood from the Long Beach Airport to the Long Beach Transit Mall, then take the free Long Beach Transit Passport bus to the Queen Mary.
  • Take Super Shuttle or Prime Time Shuttle. For a shared van ride, expect rates of around $20 for the first passenger and around $9 for additional passengers.
  • Take a taxi from Long Beach Airport. Expect rates of around $30.
From John Wayne Airport/Orange County Airport:
  • Take Super Shuttle or Prime Time Shuttle. For a shared van ride, expect rates of around $37 for the first passenger and around $9 for additional passengers.
From Los Angeles International Airport:
  • From any terminal at LAX, go downstairs to the LAX Shuttle stop and take Line G (free shuttle) to the Aviation Station of the Green Line of the Metro Rail Service to the Willowbrook station where you need to transfer to the Blue Line of the Metro Rail Service. The Passport C route, serving Pine Avenue, Shoreline Drive, the Aquarium of the Pacific and the iconic Queen Mary, is a completely free service that connects you to downtown Long Beach's finest attractions and destinations. Or you can go via the water with the AquaBus or AquaLink.

Directions...When you are here!

The Queen Mary can be confusing for you land lovers out there...do you know the difference between Port and Starboard? Here's a good way to remember - Starboard contains two letter "R"s, compared to only one in port; therefore, starboard refers to the right side and Port and left both contain four letters...therefore, port refers to the left side.  

The terminology can be confusing...so make sure you download our Ship's Map to help!
